Bastille Day Dinner, 7pm Saturday 14th July
Join us as we host a special dinner to celebrate the French National Day, la Fête nationale, which is celebrated on the 14th of July each year.
This dinner promises to be a genuinely French affair this year as we will be joined by the Alliance Française de Nelson Tasman. The Alliance Française Nelson Tasman is a group that promises to “French Up Your Life!” in the Top of the South with French lessons for Adults and Children, weekly Conversation Café at a French crêperie, monthly French Film Club and other cultural activities.
The night will be further enhanced with the presence of our own Aurélie Zentaoui, a native of Nice on the French south coast. Aurélie will be managing the dinner, and serving a wonderful selection of French wines from importer Maison Vauron.

On arrival: a selection d'amuse-bouches, with a complementary glass of French wine.
Entree: Raclette with potatoes (Raclette sur son lit de petites patates).
Main: A choice of Coq au vin (chicken cooked in red wine), or
Slow-cooked beef with a potato mash (Daube de Boeuf avec sa purée de pomme de terre)
Dessert: A choice of a caramelized apple tart with vanilla ice-cream (Tarte Tatin avec as glace a la vanille), or
Custard slice with lemon meringue (Mille-feuille au citron meringué)
The price is $60 per person, and the dinner runs from 6:30pm to 9pm.
