Summer and the End of Pizza 2-for-1

With the summer the busy summer season rapidly approaching we unfortunately have to end our two-for-one pizza offer on Wednesday.

A Pause with Two-for-One Pizzas on Wednesdays - August 2017

Our Pizzaiolo Mauro is getting married, and we wish him (and Patti) all the very best.

However, it does mean that we will be unable to continue with the Wednesday two-for-one pizzas until Mauro returns at the end of August

We will continue to make great, thin-crust pizzas, but our Chef needs a bit more time to make them.

The Wednesday two-for-one pizzas will return on Wednesday the 6th of September.

Raclette on the Menu

Who doesn't love melted cheese? Especially in winter when the days are a bit colder, and the evenings are a bit darker.

As a special for the month of July our Chefs are putting an authentic Raclette on the evening menu - as a entree special and as a mains special.

Served over cooked potatoes and accompanied with gherkins, cocktail onions, and pickled vegetables, it's a great way to share a plate with a friend.

Heavenly! A Wine & Cheese Special ..

After a hard day's work there's nothing quite like a relaxing glass of wine with a friend to unwind from the day.

Every Thursday and Friday through April/May we will be matching one of Nelson's sublime local wines with some divine cheeses - a match made in heaven.

Thai Cooking Classes with Paula - Feb 2017

Our Cooking Classes have returned - this time featuring Thai Cooking with Paula Kilkelly (Masterchef NZ finalist and co-owner of Paula's Plate.

Light Nelson Weekend - Fri 8th - Sun 10th

The restaurant will be open all this weekend for visitors to the Light Nelson spectacular. 

The full menu will be available Friday and Saturday, and the full wood-fired pizza menu (and desserts) on Sunday - available both sit-down and take-out. Open 5pm - 9pm.

We have updated our Pizza Menu, which now has full pricing for all small and large pizzas.
New Head Chef
​We welcome Michael McMeeken to the Comida team. Michael is well known throughout the Nelson region, most recently via his innovative food cart "Streat Kitchen".

Michael brings a wealth of experience and expertise, having previously worked as Head Chef at Nelson's waterfront Boatshed Cafe, Per Se Restaurant in New York, Petrus in London, and the O'Connell St Bistro in Auckland.

News - January 2016

We're continuing our popular Paella Nights in January. A small plate of Tapas, a plate of traditional seafood Paella, and a glass of wine (Rioja or Albarino) for $45 - ole!

We have some old favourites back on the menu again. The Rigatoni Pasta is always popular, as is the Entrecote Steak and the Roast Chicken. 

We also feature a Fish-of-the-Day, according to seasonal availability and catch - ask the Wait Staff for details

Comida Restautant is now open regular hours again, 4 days a week - Wednesday through Saturday, serving from 5:30pm.

Check out our new Early-Diner Pasta Special. Order before 6:30pm and enjoy any pasta dish, and side dish, and a glass of any wine, beer, or beverage - for just $30. Orders must be placed before 6:30pm!
